Dear Foothill Oaks’ Parents/Guardians,

As principal of Foothill Oaks Elementary, I’m incredibly excited to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such wonderful students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.

We have a fantastic positive culture of collaboration at our school and we want to assure you that we are committed to the success of every student. We want them to feel welcomed, respected and connected to our school community and will do everything possible to ensure they have the support and resources to succeed.

Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, is the first day of school. Our students will return to full-day, in-person instruction five days a week. Our start time is 8:30 a.m. Students will start at the same time every day and will be released two hours earlier on Wednesdays at 1:12, (Early Release Wednesdays). All other days we dismiss at 3:12

Key Information for the Start of School:

Classroom Environment  

  • Students and adults will be required to wear masks at all times while indoors and on buses unless they have an exemption: https://bit.ly/3rYV7tw

  • Masks will not be required outside during recess and while eating lunch.

  • Students will be spaced in classrooms according to guidance even when masked.

  Health and Safety

  • Families are asked to screen K-12 students for COVID-19 symptoms each morning before school.

 ID Cards and Bus Schedules 

 Computers and Supplies:

  • Every student will be provided with a Chromebook, backpack with a name badge, headphones, and some school supplies on the first day of school. 

  • Students are asked to bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged every day. 

 High School Athletics Update

  • Outdoor competitions will resume - at this time, players do not have to wear masks during outdoor competitions.   

  • Indoor athletics will resume with masks required for players and spectators. 

  • Public attendance at athletic events is not restricted at this time.

  • There is no testing requirement for sports at this time. 

 Campus Visitors

  • Visitors will not be permitted on campus without proof of vaccination or evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours. If you need assistance with testing, click here: https://bit.ly/3gxfUOy

  • COVID-19 vaccines are available at no cost in Sacramento County and elsewhere.
